Our kollektiv sprachwechsel: Literature in Second Language brings together authors who write in German and beyond as a second or third language. Our common thread is that none of us is socialised in German and is literarily active in this language.
We are based in Vienna, and our texts and projects reflect the local and transnational character of the movements that currently take place on the multilingual European literary scene. In other words: we are bridging.
We have been organising discussions and readings in Vienna and beyond since 2016 and have issued a publication dedicated to writing in second language in 2018.
